Megan is especially proud of the magic society she co-founded and ran at university. In September 2018, she won the International Brotherhood of Magicians’ British Ring Stage competition, and was also awarded the Conventioneers Trophy for originality, recognising the creativity she shows in her magic. Megan has won several awards for her performances. After serving five years as Honorary Secretary, Megan was honoured to be elected as Vice-President in 2019, making history once again. In 2014, she became the first woman and youngest ever person to be elected as an officer of the society, one of the top five roles running the prestigious organisation. She has since been promoted to Member of The inner Magic Circle with Gold Star, the highest degree a member of the society can achieve. Megan has been a very proud member of The Magic Circle since the age of 18.

Being taught by some of the world's best magicians from such an early age gave Megan a really strong foundation in both technical and presentation skills, and she has since continued her training with professional magicians from around the world. She learned much of her craft at the Young Magician's Club, a youth initiative of The Magic Circle. She loves entertaining people, watching their faces light up in awe and wonder and hearing gasps of astonishment as she performs her spellbinding routines. Well, the answer surprisingly, is yes! They run shows for the public and also hire out their building in Euston, London for corporate events. People often ask me if they can go to The Magic Circle. As the President has to award the title of Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star, you at least know that the President thinks the deserve the title.
Often it’s for services to The Magic Circle, like in a performance (which is what happened in my case).Īlthough it doesn’t guarantee that the performer will be excellent, it usually shows that the performer has been around for a long time and got some good experience. At the President’s discretion, he can award the title of Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star to any member he feels deserves it for whatever reason he/she feels. When I started in magic, at around the age of 14, I was buying magic books to learn (pre internet days). Member of The Inner Magic Circle (M.I.M.C) is the societys final level. This is the highest degree possible within the society. I’ve now been made a Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star. I was very honoured to get a call this weekend from Scott Penrose, the president of The Magic Circle.
